“Social Impact Tech Conversations Nepal”
With the mission of supporting the success of non-profits globally through the power of cloud technology, Oracle NetSuite and Raindrop Inc. partnered to organize “Oracle NetSuite Social Impact Tech Conversations” which was commenced on Tuesday, January 29, 2018 at Hotel Shanker in Lazimpat, Kathmandu.
The workshop formally inaugurated with a brief introduction of Oracle NetSuite and Raindrop Inc. with participants which included more than 25 non- profit organizations of Nepal by Binita Poudel, Business Development Associate at Raindrop Inc. The workshop had five major sessions, where the first session was incorporated by Miss Mariel Bertumen, Senior Social Impact Regional Manager of Oracle NetSuite. She discussed about the major gaps prevailing in a social organization and mentioned the ways in identifying and solving the issues which is hindering the growth of an organization.
The workshop was followed by an informative and interactive session conducted by Miss Joanne Pacho, Senior Social Impact Account Executive of Oracle NetSuite, where she provided a detailed guide on the reasons and measures on why it is essential for an organization to select a right business solution in this competitive yet growing technological era. In the second half of the session, the participants interacted in groups where they deliberated on the major issues prevailing in the functions of the organization. The organizations expressed their major concerns and the ways to advance their work and make an impact to the society.
In the third session, the workshop highlighted on how Oracle NetSuite has impacted non- profit organization with its successful implementation. This session focused on providing awareness to the participants on the benefits of implementing Oracle NetSuite to their organization.. Following that the Vice President of implementation, Mr. Divash Chakraborty gave a short description of the software along with the challenges in the current market scenario and how it can be implemented in the organization. Likewise, in the fifth session Miss Amanda Deuja, gave a brief demo on the execution of Oracle NetSuite.
Similarly, to explain more in detail about the implementation and results from Oracle NetSuite, there was a Q&A Session conducted by Miss Morgan St Claire from Oracle NetSuite EMEA along with SAATH and Just Nepal Foundation who had already implemented Oracle NetSuite in their organization. Miss Mariel Bertumen came in again to explain about the software donations and then followed by our guest speaker Mr. Mahabir Pun. He talked about the importance of technology in the present scenario and how it can improve the way we do things. He also officially received a software donation of Oracle Netsuite and pro bono services from the team. The formal portion came to an end with the thank you note from Ashok Neupane, CEO of Raindrop Inc. The event was then concluded with a photo session and a cocktail dinner for the respected guests.
